The First Release by Ragainė (RGN-01)
Pagirnis is a Lithuanian new-wave Pagan Black Metal duo. Their debut album, Kai milžinai gyveno, marks a place where ancient grandeur meets legend—a convergence of the spirit emanating from hillforts that have guarded the memories of the land for millennia.
The band’s name invokes a mythical Lithuanian entity: a household guardian dwelling deep beneath the grinding millstones, often associated with grass snakes. The music weaves these mythological motifs together with a harsh, unyielding metal sound.
This 10-track CDr, marked with catalog number RGN-01, was specially produced by Ragainė out of ideological support and brotherly solidarity.
About the Release: This is an authentic underground artifact. The sound is raw and debut-like, carrying a strong old-school spirit that recalls the days when demo tapes held true collectible value. This CDr edition is strictly limited to 50 copies and is dedicated to those who value musical sincerity and the roots of Lithuanian metal.
As the pagan priest said in the cult film Herkus Mantas: “The Gods support righteous deeds.” We invite you to support these righteous deeds and the youth behind them (Domantas and Rokas). Who knows? These 50 copies might one day become sought-after trve rarities in your collection.
