“Nykstančių liaudies dainų rinkinys” (English: A Collection of Endangered Folk Songs) is a compilation of 14 works collected, transcribed, and recorded by ŠVENTINIS BANKUCHENAS. The album explores the everyday lives, hard labor, struggles, and interpersonal relationships characteristic of the people of our region. While predominantly vocal, the recordings also feature accompanying instruments such as the kanklės (zither), skudučiai (panpipes), and percussion.
These songs are documented here to be passed down to future generations. Yet, at the same time, they serve as a living narrative—constantly evolving and flowing forward.
Exclusive CD edition includes a bonus track! 14 tracks total. Digipak printed on reverse board, white tray.
